This is all we know about our duties so far:
-Joe will be a Rural Health and Sanitation Extensionist.
-Kendra will be working in the schools as a Early Elementary Education Advisor.
-We will have to learn two languages: Spanish and Guarani.
-February 2 we leave for Miami where we meet more volunteers going to Paraguay. From Miami we will travel to Paraguay. For the first three months we will be training and living with a host family. Training includes language learning, safety procedures, cultural lessons, and technical skills needed for our jobs. After training we will be sworn in as volunteers. We will most likely live in a rural area where we will be for two years.
We will try to keep you posted as much as possible!

I will be reading your Blog with great interest over the next few years. Wishing you many blessing in this wonderful endeavor.
Go Joe and kendra! I must say that I'm a bit envious of you both going international to do ministry and service work. However, this year, taking care of our new and first grandchild trumps our work in Africa.
We are so glad you are doing this blog so that we can enjoy your Peace Corps experience with you.
God bless, your great uncle Ron and great aunt Lynn
